Niner Navigation Guide
Each semester, the Niner Navigation Guide is updated to reflect campus resources, common acronyms and abbreviations, information on academic policies, and more. This guide is designed to give you an inside look into life at Charlotte and help you fully navigate campus life! Feel free to click on the guide below, and refer to additional information below. Academic Toolkit
First-Year and Transition Programs (FYTP)
Located in Colvard 2400, FYTP creates dynamic and inclusive first year experiences that inspire lifelong learning, personal growth, and leadership. Through purposeful programming, intentional guidance, and a commitment to student success, we envision a community where each student feels valued, connected, and prepared to navigate their academic and professional aspirations. FYTP’s office location also serves as a workspace where students can utilize computers, print up to 10 (ten) pages for free, study, or simply hang out.
University Center for Academic Excellence (UCAE)
The UCAE provides academic support services and resources that increase learning effectiveness, enhance student success, and promote academic excellence. Services include:
- Peer Tutoring
- Academic Skill Workshops
- Accountability Groups
- Peer Assisted Learning.. and more!
Math Learning Center – Writing Resources Center
Math Learning Center
The Math Learning Center is located on the third floor of the Fretwell (Fretwell 330). They offer free tutoring to any enrolled student regardless of major or academic standing. If you have math questions, they are available to help you! Drop-in tutoring hours vary per semester.
Writing Resources Center
The Writing Resources Center (WRC) offers one-to-one writing support for writers in any discipline and of all skill levels. Our highly trained writing consultants provide resources and tools Niners need to confidently develop their writing voice. Located in Cameron 125, the Writing Resources Center offers in-person and virtual appointments where students can develop their skills and voice.
Office of Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services works to ensure that students with disabilities have access to education and campus life at the University. Disability Services facilitates accommodations, discourse, and engagement to promote a universally accessible learning environment for all. Be sure to complete the intake form and submit documentation to be eligible for services. If you have questions, the office is located in Fretwell 230.
